ALAIN BENEDETTI, FCA

Alain Benedetti received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Loyola College (now Concordia University) in 1970 and obtained his CA designation in 1973. Alain was awarded his FCA in Quebec in 1996 and in Ontario in 1998. Until his retirement in June 2004, Alain was Vice-Chairman and Canadian Area Managing Partner at Ernst & Young. He started his career with Clarkson, Gordon & Co. in 1970, in Montreal. He has served on numerous boards including, Concordia University (Past Chair), St. Mary's Hospital (Past Chair), the Board of Directors, Canadian Club of Montreal (Past President) and the Board of the St. James Club of Montreal (Past Chair). Alain was on an executive interchange with the Auditor General of Canada from 1977 to 1978 to help implement 'value for money' auditing with the Canada Employment & Immigrations Commission. He also lectured at McGill University for three years. Alain currently is a member of the Board of Governors of Dynamic Mutual Funds and a member of the Board of Directors of Dorel Industries Inc., Russel Metals Inc. and Birks & Mayors Inc.
