Ruth Dantzer was appointed President of the Canada School of Public Service in 2005. Ms. Dantzer has a twenty year history of accomplished service in the Government of Canada. Previous to her appointment to the Canada School of Public Service, Ruth was the Associate Secretary of Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. Prior to that, she was the Associate Deputy Minister, Fisheries and Oceans Canada. Before moving to Fisheries and Oceans, she spent four years as Assistant Secretary to the Cabinet, Social Development Policy, at the Privy Council Office. She spent six years in the Department of Finance Canada, and began her government career in the Department of National Health and Welfare (now Health Canada). Ms. Dantzer is the Deputy Minister Champion for the Aboriginal National Network Initiative (ANNI) of the Government of Canada. Ms. Dantzer was born in Edmonton, Alberta. She holds a PhD in Leadership from Andrews University (Michigan) and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario. Before joining the public service, Ruth spent five years working for First Nations in Northern Saskatchewan. |
