CAROL BELLRINGER APPOINTED AUDITOR GENERAL OF MANITOBA
The CCAF-FCVI is pleased to recognize the appointment of Carol Bellringer as Manitoba's Auditor General, effective July 15, 2006.
Ms. Bellringer returned to Manitoba in 2002 as the Director of Private Funding for the University of Manitoba, after spending six years in Warsaw, Poland. Ms. Bellringer has also worked as an independent board member since her return, and is most enthusiastic about her role as Chair of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra through a dramatic financial recovery. She places great value on the personal and professional growth that living in Warsaw, Poland, provided her.
Born in Montreal, a graduate of Concordia University and a Chartered Accountant, she continued her formal education at the Warsaw School of Economics in a Canadian sponsored program, earning an MBA from the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM). She had worked for KPMG (then Peat Marwick Mitchell) in Montreal, Toronto and Winnipeg before joining Manitoba's Provincial Auditor's Office in 1988. She held the position of Provincial Auditor from 1992 - 1996.
Ms. Bellringer also sat on CCAF-FCVI's Board of Governors from 1994-1996, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to work with her once again. We wish Ms. Bellringer all the best in her new position.

CAROL BELLRINGER EST NOMMÉE VÉRIFICATRICE GÉNÉRALE DU MANITOBA
C'est avec plaisir que la CCAF-FCVI apprend la nomination de Carol Bellringer au poste de vérificatrice générale du Manitoba, depuis le 15 juillet 2006.
Mme Bellringer est retournée au Manitoba en 2002 pour assurer la direction du financement privé, à l'Université du Manitoba, après avoir passé six ans à Varsovie, en Pologne. Depuis son retour, elle siège au conseil d'administration de cette université à titre de membre indépendant. De plus, elle se dit très enthousiasmée par le redressement financier de l'Orchestre symphonique de Winnipeg et par son rôle de présidente du conseil. Elle accorde énormément de valeur à la croissance personnelle et professionnelle que son séjour à Varsovie lui a permis.
Née à Montréal, elle a fait ses études à l'Université Concordia et a obtenu le titre de comptable agréée au Québec. Elle a poursuivi ses études à la School of Economics de Varsovie dans le cadre d'un programme parrainé par le Canada, et a obtenu sa maîtrise en administration des affaires à l'Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Elle a fait carrière chez KPMG (alors Peat Marwick Mitchell) à Montréal, Toronto et Winnipeg, avant de se joindre au bureau du vérificateur provincial du Manitoba en 1988. Soulignons que de 1992 à 1996, elle a assuré les fonctions de vérificatrice provinciale du Manitoba.
Mme Bellringer a également siégé au conseil d'administration de la CCAF-FCVI de 1994 à 1996, et c'est avec plaisir que nous envisageons la possibilité de travailler de nouveau avec elle. Nous lui souhaitons nos meilleurs vœux de succès.
